School Based Counselling Service

Pembrokeshire's School-based Counselling Service (SBCS) provides free, confidential support to young people in schools across the county. You can access it by speaking directly with your school counsellor to make an appointment, and the service is for children and young people in Year 5 and above who need a safe space to discuss worries like anxiety, bullying, or family issues.

How to access the service

  • Speak to your school counsellor:

The primary way to access the service is to visit the named counsellor at your school and make an appointment directly.

  • Ask a trusted adult:

Adults at school, such as teachers, can also suggest that a young person accesses the service.

  • Self Referral Link:

From September 2025 there will be a new referral system for all pupils accessing the SBCS.  For pupils wanting to refer          themselves (this can be with support from any staff member) they can use the link below.
